STEPPED HEADERS

 Most ACP Headers are built in a stepped configuration (Multiple tube sizes in the same primary tube). Stepped headers usually increase either midrange or top end power, depending on the base header tube size relativity to its power level. A stepped tube also helps to tame reversion, gases do not like to go from larger diameters to smaller diameters. Stepped headers will work better with some engine combinations than others but usually perform better than a straight size tube.


TUBE SIZE

 The tube size requirement for an engine is a function of the HP the cylinder is putting out, how good the exhaust port is, intake manifold pressure, and the most critical part of the RPM range. We will be happy to assist you in choosing the correct size for your engine at the time of your order.


AFTERMARKET CYLINDER HEADS

 One of the things that set us apart from the "Mass market" header companies is our ability to build almost all of our V8 headers for aftermarket cylinder heads. Many heads (AFR, Brodix, Dart etc.) have raised exhaust ports and a wider casting. Building a header for a conventional SB Chevy head then bolting that same header to a cylinder head that is taller and wider can result in spark plug issues and frame clearance problems. We have developed adjustable jigs that allow us to adapt each design to virtually any cylinder head. We can build most of our headers to fit spread port heads and 18-degree heads also. We build all of our headers to YOUR cylinder heads.


FLANGES AND ADAPTERS

 Some SB Chevy header designs offer a choice of standard or adapter flanges. Most SB Chevy headers are available with the Stahl adapter flange in 1-3/4" and larger. But adapters are required on SB Chevy's (Or any six bolt SB Chevy style head) using 1-7/8" and larger primaries. We have flanges for most cylinder heads such as Brodix, Dart, AFR, 14 & 18 degree, Mopar, Ford and Imports. If you don't see it listed in our Flanges section, give us a call.


COLLECTORS & ADJUSTABLE PRIMARY PIECES

 Removable collectors are available on all models in 2-1/4" thru 4" outlets in 1/4" increments. Combine removable collectors with adjustable primary pieces to fine tune your headers for max performance.


PAINT AND COATINGS

 All fully assembled headers are available painted with the traditional Stahl silver 1800-degree heat paint.

We do not do any in-house ceramic coating. If you choose to have your new headers coated, we can ship them to you bare, sprayed with a rust inhibitor. All bare headers must be fit checked on the car before sending them for coating! This is the time when we can address any fit issues. Once they are coated, we cannot make any modifications or changes!


SELECTION

 If you do not see what you want, call us. We may have it or can make it. We are the #1 quality and performance header manufacturer who makes only race quality headers. Racers are the core of our business. If you have any problems, let us know.


SERIAL NUMBERS

 All fully and partially assembled headers are serial number stamped during production. ACP Headers has the Stahl serial numbers and build info for each header going back to 1981.

PAYMENT POLICY

 We accept all major credit cards. Checks are also accepted. All checks must be payable to: ADVANCED COMPOSITE PRODUCTS.


RETURNS/CANCELLATIONS

 Items can be returned or exchanged within 90 days of invoice date. Returns must be approved prior to the return shipment. Please include a letter stating your full name, address, phone number, a copy of the invoice and detailed information regarding the problem with your returned item.


 Always fit check your headers before they are sent for coating. Coated headers are not returnable under any circumstances. Any header that has been modified by the customer in any way is not returnable.


 Unless otherwise indicated, our headers are specifically built to fit OEM style components. ACP Headers is not responsible for fit problems that arise due to the use of non-OEM style components such as oil pans, valve covers, starters, suspension and/or chassis add-ons or other aftermarket components. IT IS YOUR RESPONSABILITY TO LET US KNOW IF YOU HAVE ANY AFTERMARKET PARTS THAT MIGHT CAUSE FIT PROBLEMS. We can usually work around them if we know about them.


SHIPPING METHODS

 We normally ship via UPS ground. Shipping is not calculated until your order is boxed and weighed. We build a custom product so we must wait until the items are boxed to get shipping charges.


EXPORT SHIPMENTS

 All shipments outside the United States must be prepaid in U.S. dollars to avoid any problems with fluctuating exchange rates. We will send you our bank information at the time of your order and when the funds have been deposited, we will start your order. All international customers must arrange their own shipping. We will contact you with the weight, dimensions and our address when your order is finished for you to arrange pickup by the shipping company of your choice.

                                                    WARRANTY/DISCLAIMER


Due to the nature of the use of the product, no warranty is expressed or implied. However, if any problems arise, please contact us. If your header becomes damaged in use, we can usually repair it or supply parts for you to repair it.


 Federal, state and local government laws and standards regulate emissions production, noise levels and safety standards. ACP Headers makes no claims that its products comply with any of these laws, regulations or ordinances. The consumer assumes the burden of any cost that may be involved to comply with government regulations. Wherever regulated, ACP Headers are not legal for pollution-controlled motor vehicles, except for racing vehicles not used on a highway.
